Some Costa Rican beach towns are livelier than others. With its killer karaoke nights and sports-watching atmosphere, Sharky’s in Playa Tamarindo is muy loco, as are Banana Beach in Playa Santa Teresa and the Jolly Roger in Dominical Puerto Viejo. The beach town with the wildest, up-all-night scene is Jacó: expect at least a few bachelorette parties. Travelers can find hip beer gardens, deep-house nightclubs, and luxe hotel bars all across the country.
