Royal Danish Playhouse

The waterfront Royal Danish Playhouse is the home of the Royal Danish Theater. It houses three stages: the Store Scene, the Port Scene, and the Lille Scene, and can accommodate up to 1,000 people for performances. The complex features a large outdoor promenade, offering water views, as well as a waterfront foyer. Ticketholders and non-ticketholders alike can visit the on-site café or Restaurant Ofelia, which serves Nordic cuisine for lunch and dinner—and offers some of the city’s most picturesque views of the water. In addition to theatrical performances, the playhouse also hosts children’s programs, concerts, and lectures.
