Ordrupgaard

110 Vilvordevej
Copenhagen, 2920, Denmark
TEL: 45-39-641-183

The Ordrupgaard houses one of Europe’s largest collections of French impressionist art, as well as a substantial collection of Danish works. Housed inside the former 1918 home of founder Wilhelm Hansen, with period furnishings intact, the museum displays works by such French masters as Monet, Matisse, and Renoir and such renowned Danish artists as C.V. Eckersberg and Johan Thomas Lundby. The museum has expanded to include a 2005 addition designed by Zaha Hadid and the home of furniture designer Finn Juhl, acquired in 2008. Visitors to the museum can also stroll through the nearby Dyrehaven, a park where deer roam.
