Copenhagen Jazzhouse
Something of a hybrid between a club and a concert hall, Copenhagen Jazzhouse is the city's premier place for serious jazz by Danish and international musicians. Located in the Indre Byen (Inner City) area of town, the Jazzhouse is housed in a nondescipt brick building with a blue awning over the door. Inside, jazz lovers sit at closely packed, candlelit tables in front of the small stage, taking in the clubs 200 annual shows, ranging from contemporary jazz to established acts. There's a cocktail bar upstairs at the club, which stays open all night on Friday and Saturday nights.
Insider Tip:
Check the web site for the concert schedule: on tango or swing nights, the floor is cleared of tables to become a dance floor.
