Christiania
Woodstock Café
Known for its cheap beer and laid back vibe, Woodstock was the liberal freetown of Christiania's very first bar and offers beer at 16kr while allowing patrons to smoke their herb of choice outside. Eclectic crowds are drawn to Christiania's Pusher Street—and to this popular watering hole—for its "anything goes" atmosphere: Hippies have flocked here since 1971. Live music can be heard at Woodstock (as the 1960s name implies), with current hits playing on Thursdays. Organic Christiania beer and coffee are served until 5 a.m.
Insider Tip:
Photography is forbidden here, as drugs are sold on Pusher Street and therefore the town's inhabitants prefer to remain out of the discerning public eye.
