Manganos

Arched wooden gates, a cobbled courtyard, and a blue waterwheel—the hotel’s namesake—mark the entrance to Manganos Hotel. Situated south of Chios, the property was built in 1990 as a mansion-style accommodation and renovated in 2007. The seven guest rooms boast tiled floors, exposed-stone walls, and sheer white curtains. In-room amenities include air-conditioning, a fridge, wireless Internet, and a balcony or terrace that allows views of the Mediterranean gardens. The hotel serves breakfast (with homemade marmalade) under a grapevine arbor or in the indoor dining room.
