Rosa Mexicano
Washington, DC, 20004, United States
Mexican tile and native folk craft lend an authentic feel to this first-outside-of-NYC Rosa Mexicano location splendidly housed in the restored 1924 Hecht's building. Like its flagship restaurant in New York, Penn Quarter's Rosa Mexicano serves home-recipe Mexican cuisine and libations in a vibrant and colorful space in hues of yellow, red, blue, and tangerine. The plush dining space features floor-to-ceiling wraparound windows and an on-site tequila bar, packing in an upscale crowd for its house-specialty guacamole (prepared tableside), pomegrenete margaritas, and tablones (grilled beef short ribs).
Insider Tip:
Stop in on your birthday for a treat: a personal mini-cake for each person in your party, each covered in marshmallow meringue and with a side of tropical fruit salsa.
