The Harman Center for the Arts is the collective name for the Lansburgh Theatre and Sidney Harman Hall, which serve as the home theaters for The Shakespeare Theatre Company. The addition of Sidney Harman Hall in 2007 provided an additional 775 seats and allowed the Shakespeare Theatre Company to offer expanded programming, including dance- and music-themed events. In addition to Shakespeare’s famous and lesser-known works, the company also performs works by other renowned playwrights, including George Bernard Shaw, Henrik Ibsen, and Oscar Wilde.
