N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60611, United States

Chicago’s answer to New York’s Fifth Avenue and Beverly Hills’s Rodeo Drive, the Magnificent Mile is the city’s shopping and dining mecca. The result of developer Arthur Rubloff’s 1947 plan to revitalize North Michigan Avenue, the area is now home to exclusive residences, luxury hotels, designer stores ranging from Gucci to Coach, and many of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, including the John Hancock Center and Navy Pier. Stores are divided among three primary areas: the Shops at North Bridge, Water Tower Place, and the 900 North Michigan Shops, which include a six-level Bloomingdale’s.
