Chalfont St. Peter
Restaurant at the Greyhound Inn, Chalfont St. Peter
Chalfont St. Peter, England, SL9 9RA, United Kingdom
Operating since the 14th century, this former coaching inn is now a 12-room hotel and gastropub serving both British and Mediterranean cuisine. Housed in a traditional white-brick cottage, the dining room has an original flagstone floor, a low wood-beamed ceiling, and polished wood tables set with brown leather chairs. Outside, an umbrella-shaded patio provides additional seating during the warmer months. Created by Savoy alum Nana Akuffo, the eclectic menu ranges from classic steak-and-ale pie to squid ink linguini with roasted cherry tomato sauce. The international wine list has 50 options, with more than a dozen available by the glass.
Insider Tip:
Popular with both guests and locals, the adjacent bar is often noisy, especially on nights with live music; opt for an early dinner if you’re looking for a quieter experience.
