Le Coppelle

Just a few blocks from the Pantheon in a fabulously secluded piazza, this indoor/outdoor lounge bar is one of the most congenial places for a drink in the Centro Storico. Depending on the night, the crowd may be thirtysomething Roman professionals on their way to or from a nearby popular restaurant, or in-the-know out-of-towners; most often, it’s an attitude-free combination of both. The modernist chairs and sofas are upholstered and comfortable, and make the place feel like a private outdoor living room. Young and friendly waitstaff serve drinks with an assortment of savory nibbles, mini-pizzas, and chips.
