Cambalache

This massive Argentinean steak house, located inside a nondescript shopping mall, has an ardent following, and for good reason—its meat dishes, many of which are grilled over charcoal and wood fires to succulent perfection. The owners, who operate several other locations around Latin America, have the formula down: rustic atmosphere with sophisticated touches, such as the house sangria-like cocktail that’s infused with fruit and prepared tableside, and prime quality cuts of (mostly) beef. The traditional Argentine empanadas, or turnovers (cheese and corn, fresh tuna), are also an authentic treat.
