After a nearly $100-million facilities upgrade in 2012, Cancún’s beachfront Moon Palace resort is putting a little luxury back into the all-inclusive model. Featuring seven outdoor pools, a nine-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course, 39-room spa, dolphin experience, and double-wave surf simulator, guests are never short on things to do. The 2,400-plus guest rooms also provide a tranquil retreat, with marble bathrooms, private balconies, and whirlpool tubs. The 14 global restaurants include classic Mexican at Los Coporales, Italian at La Trattoria, and Asian gastronomy at Momo—while the nocturnally inclined can head to Noir, French designer François Frossard’s Tron-inspired nightclub.
