25 Edwin H. Land Blvd., Cambridge, MA 02141, United States

Located just across the Charles River from downtown Boston, Hotel Marlowe is a boutique-style Kimpton property with a quirky-meets-chic design. The gold-toned lobby has a compass floor design and leopard-print furniture, while the 236 guestrooms contain well-stocked honor bars and all-white linens topped with black faux-fur throws and leopard-print pillows. Many of the rooms also have large windows overlooking the Charles River. The hotel hosts a complimentary evening wine hour, and the on-site restaurant Bambara serves New American cuisine amid views of the river and downtown skyline. Free bike and kayak rentals are available, as well.
