1400 Schramsberg Rd., Calistoga, CA 94515, United States

For a hands-on taste of winemaking, this property (known for its sparkling wines—in particular, Brut Rosé, Blanc de Blanc, and Crémant) hosts annual two-day “camps,” which allow participants to take part in the vineyard’s production cycle. Spring attendees get to help prune and maintain grape vines and learn all about the art of sparkling-wine blending (known as assemblage). Autumn camps focus on harvesting grapes and also on food pairings with sparkling wines. Whether you take part in “Camp Schramsberg” or just visit for a day, though, this is a prime spot for enjoying all things bubbly.
