In the Old Quarter, the sights are so copious that a Roman amphitheater is just another ruin, located at the end of a tiny, virtually unmarked alley. Among the neighborhood's highlights: the Church of the Holy Cross, commissioned by King Alfonso X in the 13th century, and the baroque-porticoed Casa del Almirante.
