This all-inclusive hotel on the southern tip of Baja is ideal for design aficionados looking for a quiet escape at a great value. The minimalist, modern aesthetic is most obvious at the pool, where concentric circles of towering saguaro cacti and palm treessurround a perfectly round swimming pool. The 154 guest rooms are designed in a streamlined style with teak and cedar wood furniture, neutral fabrics, and private terraces for views of the ocean or garden. Be forewarned: as in many beaches in the area, the riptide is too strong for swimming; however, the property’s complimentary shuttle transports visitors to three sister resorts, two of which are set on calmer water.
