This outdoor antiques fair, which started in 1970 on Dorrego Square, has now extended several blocks along Defensa street on both sides of Avenida San Juan to include additional artisans and their wares. Given that many heirlooms are now on the market thanks to Argentina's ever-precarious economy, the real beauty is in haggling for a piece of jewelry or an unusual artifact. You’ll also see hawkers selling empanadas, tango dancers keen for a tip, and live music. As the fair winds down, an open-air milonga kicks into action as tango dancers take over the plaza come late afternoon. The fair is open every Sunday.
