Flatbush Farm

This farmhouse-inspired restaurant in Prospect Heights brings a distinct countryside spirit to the city with displayed farm equipment, 19th-century portraits, empty bell jars, and filament bulbs inside a long, black and white dining room with high ceilings. The menu follows suit, with organic seasonal produce and hormone-free meats inside dishes like Amish hot wings, grilled iceberg lettuce, and an especially hearty bacon-cheddar spätzle over butternut mash. In warm weather, the leafy, brick beer garden out back fills up quickly and includes tables with individual wood-burning stoves.
