Built in 2001 as part of the revitalization effort of Coney Island, this 7,500-seat stadium next to the ocean serves many purposes beyond hosting the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team, including concerts, parades, festivals, boxing and wrestling matches, even weddings. The ballpark also has a museum dedicated to Brooklyn’s storied baseball past. At night, the neon fluorescent stadium lights intensify the carnival atmosphere of Coney Island's famed boardwalk, offering views of the lit-up Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and 262-foot-high, steel parachute jump beyond the outfield walls.
