Richard Squire opened this original location of the Breckenridge Brewery in 1990, and now has five brewpubs throughout Colorado. Beer selections change frequently and fall under one of four categories: main line, seasonal beer, small-batch, and barrel-aged. Big sellers include an American-style amber called Avalanche Ale, and their “tall, dark and handsome” Oatmeal Stout. The restaurant has views of the nearby mountains, and the menu focuses on salads, sandwiches and burgers, plus “brewhouse favorites” like pork spare ribs and “buff-a-loaf" (Colorado buffalo meatloaf). There's also a list of gluten-free dishes.
