Things to do in Bora Bora

Bora Bora is best known for its landscape and for its watersports. Activities on Bora Bora include snorkeling, canoeing and kayaking, guided tours of the reefs and some great surfing - though surfers say it’s limited and can be missed altogether, depending on the season. There’s plenty to do on land too, though; let Leisure and Travel help you find what you’re looking for! From tours, to barbecues, to nightlife, Bora Bora has it all!

To see everything the island has to offer, you can try taking a helicopter ride around it. Alternatively, you can explore the islands closer to the ground; more active things to do in Bora Bora include taking a bike tour, pedaling around Bora Bora’s main island in just a few hours and taking in the roadside views from the paved loop. You can even rent motorized bicycles from the Avis in Vaitape if you don’t fancy doing all your own pushing.

In the evening, there’s great nightlife in Bora Bora, focussing on Bloody Mary’s, where they do a great house version of their eponymous cocktail as well as serving up fish and occasionally a chance to rub shoulders with celebrity guests like Johnny Depp, Goldie Hawn or Billy Idol.
