Production assistants and their former-USC sorority sisters flock to the amber-colored bar at the newly renovated Sofitel—once a forgotten overnight spot, but back in vogue after a $40 million renovation and relaunch by Rande Gerber in June 2006. Despite the young crowd, the vibe is sophisticated.
