Following a $15 million government investment that culminated with the rebirth of one of the world's finest public golf courses, Port Royal is the jewel in the island's golfing crown. Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., then redesigned by original Jones team member Robert Rulewich, the 6,842-yard course is the former home of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf—a year-end tournament featuring the winners of all four majors—and the site of one of the sport’s greatest holes: the cliff-hugging 16th, with nothing but the Atlantic between the tee and the pin. When you're done with your round, enjoy a Dark and Stormy on its ocean view patio, which overlooks the 18th hole and the entire south shore coastline.
