Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art
When the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda art opened in 2008, it became the island’s first purpose-built museum devoted to showcasing Bermuda’s top artists and the works of others who have depicted the island in their collections. That includes internationally acclaimed artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Marsden Hartley, and Winslow Homer—whose celebrated painting “S.S. Trinidad” hangs on its walls—alongside a permanent collection of more than 1,500 works. Located in the Bermuda Botanical Gardens (a 36-acre park with an aviary, shady banyan trees, and a fragrant garden for the blind), Masterworks also hosts seasonal exhibitions and an artist-in-residence program, where up-and-coming painters display their works.
