Hotels in Bermuda are split into four distinct types: Large resorts with plentiful amenities such as pools, spas, golf courses, and private beach clubs; small boutique hotels with unique features and design; family-run B&Bs and inns with shared common spaces; and cottage colonies, detached units with distinctive Bermudian architectural features. Whichever you choose, you’ll find accommodations to suit any budget—from the luxurious Rosewood Tucker’s Point near tony Tucker’s Town on the island’s east end to the quaint Royal Palms Hotel, within walking distance to the restaurants, shops, and attractions in Hamilton. At the Royal Palms, a blend of colonial and Bermudian architecture, guests stay in one of two pink 19th century manor houses, which are nestled in gardens and offer access to secluded swimming pools. The hotel has 32 unique rooms and rates are dependent on room size and the season. Not surprisingly, it is cheapest to travel during the winter months. If you’re interested in a great resort experience, then check out the Fairmont Southampton. With nearly 600 available rooms, there’s plenty of space for guests on all types of budgets. Available on the grounds are tennis courts, swimming pools, an 18-hole golf course, a luxury spa, and eight restaurants. Better still, the resort sits right on the ocean, so you’ll have instant beach access.

This being a 21-square-mile island, you won’t be far from most anything, no matter where you stay. But if you’re looking for unfettered access to Bermuda’s powdery pink sand, then choose a hotel near Southampton Parish, where you’ll find a string of picture-perfect beaches including Warwick Long Bay (great for long walks), Church Bay (with some of the island’s best snorkeling) and Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda’s most famous slice of sand that’s filled with locals and tourists throughout the year.
