Käfer
Bundestag
Berlin, 11011, Germany
Käfer, located on the top floor of the Reichstag, the building that houses the German Parliament, offers diners unparalleled views of the building’s famous glass dome from its garden terrace. The cuisine is classic German fare, created from local produce. Popular dishes include filet of beef stuffed with foie gras and filet of cod with tarragon and German caviar. Because the building is highly regulated, all diners must provide their first and last names and dates of birth for security purposes. The last elevator to the restaurant runs at 11 p.m., and all diners must vacate the restaurant by midnight.
Insider Tip:
A long line of both tourists and diners can form in front of the building. To cut down on wait time, make a phone reservation and present your reservation number to an attendant at the building’s west entrance. You will get right on an elevator.
