Berkeley Tuolumne Family Camp
Stanislaus National Forest
Groveland, CA, 95321, United States
Located on the south fork of the Tuolumne River and near Yosemite National Park, this camp first welcomed visitors in 1922 and now runs summer family programs. The grounds cover 14.5 acres, where campers can swim at Beaverhead Rock, float on inner tubes along the river, practice archery, and hike forest trails. Furnished tent-cabins—wood structures with a canvas roof—come set-up with cot beds and clothes dressers, while the showers and toilets are shared. The camp has a redwood sauna, luggage delivery (in old WWII ammunition carts), and a dining hall for the three daily meals.
Room to Book:
On the far side of the river from the main camp, the Sun City cabins have less shade and sunnier decks.
Insider Tip:
Friday night is the communal campfire night, with s’mores, songs, and storytelling.
