A five-story dance school in the Sants-Montjuïc district, Ball Centre provides dance instruction in several different styles. Classes that don’t require a partner include flamenco, salsa, hip-hop, and Bollywood, while options like the Argentine tango, Lindy Hop, and Rueda—a Cuban style of salsa reminiscent of square dancing—are designed for couples. The school also hosts dance parties in its large ballroom on Saturday nights for students and the public to practice their skills. Salsa is the focus of these parties, but other music is played as well.
The ballroom used for dance parties resembles an auditorium, with stadium seating on one side. Feel free to grab a seat and watch, even if you don’t plan to join.
