The Metropolitan Bangkok is urbane, with a streamlined glass and concrete facade that includes different textured finishes and several serene water features. Inside, the subdued modern tone continues with spare common areas outfitted with contemporary furniture, minimalist flower arrangements, and white walls, the occasional punch of saturated color coming from a rug or wall piece. Rooms are spacious, with zen-like, Asian-influenced wooden furniture, neutral colors, and enormous stone-tiled bathrooms. The outdoor pool is surrounded by a slatted, dark-wood deck; in-house dining includes Thai food at nahm, the Met Bar's Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and glow—wellness cuisine here was designed by the on-site spa.
