Many of the rooms at this beachfront property, which sits at the eastern edge of Flamands Bay, are set high in the hills (so bring your sneakers—you’ll need them to climb the steps). But the higher you go, the better the views from your balcony come sunset. Inside, the decor is sleek and spare but supremely comfortable: think wooden floors, white-linen covered sofas, and slate bathrooms. (Eight of the 24 rooms also have private pools, which is great for honeymooners.) All the action surrounds the property’s sole restaurant, an open-air spot facing the sea which serves butter croissants and strong coffee at breakfast; pizza or lightly grilled fish and vegetables at lunch; or veal paillard and one of the best burgers on the island come dinner. The space is just steps from the large pool and of course the sand, where there are plenty of white loungers with red towels so that all guests can claim their own piece of paradise.
