Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle De France
LVMH has transformed one of the island’s prime pieces of real estate into an unabashedly luxe resort that still manages to feel warm and welcoming. A short corridor in the open-air lobby leads to the big reveal: the resort’s wooden deck, pool, and stylish restaurant, all overlooking Flamands Bay, arguably the best beach on St. Bart’s. The rooms, some nestled in tropical gardens, others facing the sea—are whitewashed, calm oases with marble-accented bathrooms, linen-covered sofas, and even a signature scent. (It’s “Tropical Chic,” created by Theirry Wasser, the nose of Guerlain.) The service is polished and effortless, from the beach waiters at La Cabane de L’Isle, their toes-in-the-sand restaurant for leisurely, rosé-fueled lunches; to the massage therapists at the fantastic Guerlain Spa.
