Maya's to Go
Not far from St. Bart’s airport, Maya’s is both a takeaway restaurant and a gourmet food shop. The interior is bright and airy, with sparse white walls, glass cases filled with homemade croissants and fruit tarts, and wooden shelves lined with local jams, rosemary flatbread, artisan chocolates, and fine wines. Blending French and Caribbean flavors, the chalkboard menu might include such specialties as Tahitian tuna salad, and red snapper with Creole sauce. Some seating is available on the shaded patio out front, but Maya’s is also a popular place to fill up a picnic basket before heading to the beach.
Insider Tip:
The restaurant often sells out of its most popular items, such as the Greek yogurt with homemade granola, so be sure to arrive early.
