Jasper White's Summer Shack, Back Bay
With kitschy decor that includes lobsters painted on the walls and brown paper tablecoths, Jasper White's Summer Shack attempts to capture the feel of a rustic seaside clamshack in Boston’s gentrified Back Bay neighborhood. Near both Fenway Park and Symphony Hall, the casual eatery brings in out-of-towners looking for pan-roasted lobsters and lobster rolls. But for locals, the Summer Shack's big draws are the raw bar menu's fresh oysters and clams, which are displayed in a massive glass case designed by chef Jasper White himself that can hold 4,000 pieces of shellfish. There is also a Summer Shack location in North Cambridge.
