Club De Ville is one of the oldest music venues in Austin, and is a mainstay of the Texas capital's Red River District. While it has a small indoor bar, most of the action takes place outside on the patio, where a sheer limestone wall makes for a scenic background, while also providing good acoustics during shows. The outdoor patio furnishings are thrift-chic, with a just-from the-yard-sale look. The line-up usually features local rockers and DJs, but the bar also hosts big-name bands during South by Southwest, Austin's biggest festival, held every March.

The De Ville is known for having a sliding scale of drink prices based on the bartender. Don't be surprised if each round is a slightly different price.
