This bar is in the Grove, the 11-year-old multi-award winning restaurant that consistently gets rave reviews. As much care and detail goes into the bar as it does into this sophisticated restaurant. While owner Michael Dearth has always poured his heart into his wine lists, the bar’s cocktail menu takes drinking to the next level. It comprises three courses—entrée (that’s a starter in New Zealand), main, and dessert. You could start with the Gremolata, before dinner which includes single-malt vodka, gin, sake, parsley, and lemon, and then close your meal with an Espresso Pancake of Frangelico, brandy, espresso, and cream.
