There is never a lack of things to do in Atlanta—with myriad tourist attractions, museums, outdoor activities, and culinary adventures, there’s always something fun going on.

Families should head for the Georgia Aquarium to check out the new dolphin show, get up close with stingrays in the touch pools, and watch beluga whales and whale sharks through the enormous viewing windows. Kids will also enjoy spending an afternoon at Piedmont Park, where visitors and locals ride down bike paths, chase their pups in dog runs, and shop the Green Market that takes place every Saturday.

At Atlanta’s High Museum of Art (the first museum in the world to display art on loan from the Louvre), art fans can find paintings by van Gogh, Cézanne, and Manet among the museum’s expansive and well-curated collections. And those more interested in the edible arts who might want to get a behind-the-scenes look at booze creation, stop by the city’s budding beer brewers and liquor distillers, like SweetWater Brewing Company and Old Fourth Distillery, for a drink and tour of their small-scale facilities.
