Loews Atlanta Hotel
Atlanta’s Midtown has seen a boutique-hotel boom in the past few years, and the Loews Atlanta is the newest entry. Travelers like the location—Midtown is Atlanta’s business and skyscraper district—for pedestrian potential and proximity to attractions including Piedmont Park, the Woodruff Arts Center, and the Margaret Mitchell House. Inside the 26-story new-build high-rise there are 414 serene, modern rooms with colorful paintings from local artists, flat-screen TVs, and floor-to-ceiling windows. On Thursday nights, Bar Eleven, the hotel’s bar and music venue, hosts live musicians (R&B singer Will Downing and saxophonist Gerald Albright); Eleven restaurant is known for contemporary dishes with southern accents (Savannah crab cake, maple barbecue Atlantic salmon, and fried buttermilk chicken with jalapeño mashed potatoes).
Insider Tip:
Access to the hotel's Turkish hammam bathhouse at Exhale spa is complimentary for guests.
