All major flights to Istanbul touch down at Ataturk Airport, located approximately 14 miles west of the city center. On average, 82,000 passengers pass through it daily, and 700 planes arrive and depart, making it the 17th busiest airport in the world. The international terminal is the newest, most spacious, and well-equipped with a post office, ATMs, cafes, and shops, although prices can be shockingly high. Transportation into the city center is available by rail but very time consuming. The most efficient way is by havas shuttle, located in front of the main terminal entrance.
