Caribou Club
The exclusive Caribou Club is a private, open-only-to-members venue hidden among the neighboring fur and diamond stores. A club for those who can afford the thousands of dollars-per-year in membership dues, the Caribou is marked only by the word “Private” written across its large, mahogany-and-brass front door. Inside is the Great Room, with racing-green walls, plenty of lounge chairs, and a 10-foot-long sofa. The club has an expansive bar, a disco floor, and a dining room, which serves dishes such as whiskey-glazed filet of beef and lemon-crusted Chilean sea bass.
Insider Tip:
Most guests have to know a member or pay a hefty fee to visit the club. If you are staying at the Hotel Jerome, The Little Nell, or The St. Regis, ask the concierge and you may be able to get in as a guest.
