Inside the St. Regis Hotel, the Shadow Mountain Lounge breaks with the typical Aspen bar scene. Here, live piano music and a large, granite fireplace create an environment that combines elements of a ski lodge with a city jazz club. Leather seating provides comfortable places for having a glass of wine, people watching and celeb spotting, or taking in views of nearby Aspen Mountain. Special events are scheduled each day, including the Bloody Mary Ritual, a reception during which samples of the Downhill Red Snapper—the bar’s interpretation of the classic Bloody Mary, using basil, dill, lemon, and lime juice—are served.
