Zingerman's Delicatessen
Ann Arbor, MI, 48103, United States
In 1982 Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig cofounded this iconic deli, serving authentic traditionally made food. Even in their sandwiches, the two were committed to quality ingredients: chopped chicken liver following a family recipe, but with free-range chicken; farm, rather than factory cheese; smokehouse bacon instead of the mass-market variety. Of the 15 Zingerman's coffees, 12 are single-origin, like the thick and chocolaty Papua New Guinea. The remaining three are blends, including Roadhouse Joe, a slightly nutty mix with lots of body and no bite.
