Hotel Vondel

26 Vondelstraat,

1054 GD.

Eighty-six rooms occupy seven 19th-century mansions to form Hotel Vondel, which is installed in the museum district of the Dutch capitol. From the giant elliptical dome over the lobby’s desk to the nature-inspired, branch-like lamps, the hotel is saturated with art and modern interior design. Its restaurant, Joost, offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and opens to the hotel’s private courtyard, where covered tables and loungers sit in conversation-friendly arrangements on the smooth, tiled patio. The hotel's proximity to the museum district allows for quick access to Amsterdam’s many key attractions, such as the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House, and infamous Red Light District.
