Restaurant Eve

110 South Pitt St.
Alexandria, VA, 22314, United States
TEL: (703) 706-0450

Owned by chef Cathal Armstrong and his wife Meshelle, Restaurant Eve—named after the couple’s daughter—is located inside a restored 19th-century warehouse. The interior is divided into three distinct spaces: a fireside lounge, a sky-lit bistro, and an upscale tasting room furnished with “thrones” (oversize chairs). Inspired by Armstrong’s Irish heritage and French training, the ever-changing menus include dishes like pan-fried monkfish with creamed Brussels sprouts, and venison loin with chestnut custard. At the bar, acclaimed mixologist Todd Thrasher prepares unusual cocktails like A Pleasantly Bitter Beginning, made with grapefruit bitters, citrus vinegar, Ketel One vodka, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Insider Tip:

For a more affordable meal, opt for the bar’s two-course Lickity Split lunch menu; just make sure to visit after 1 p.m. if you want to avoid a long wait.
