Alexandria, VA, 22314, United States
Located on the Potomac River, the Torpedo Factory Art Center is an expansive complex comprised of the Alexandria Archeology Museum, six art galleries, innumerable art studios, and two workshops. The building that houses the original Torpedo Factory was constructed in 1920 and has served several purposes throughout its history, among them a munitions factory producing MK-14s, and a storage facility for dinosaur bones from the Smithsonian. Throughout the center, artists and craftsmen work, sell their art, and interact with visitors.
