Things to do in Toledo

Toledo is often referred to in the media as a dull or unlikeable place, but that is far from the truth. There are a lot of options when visiting Toledo, Ohio. For the art lover, there is the Toledo Museum of Art with over thirty thousand works from all over the globe on display. This museum, which opened in 1901, has grown from a space filling two rooms to a massive campus of six buildings over thirty-six acres. The Glass Pavilion is a must-see spot in this museum with a glass study room, coffee bar, and five galleries. There are even weekly events, like glass blowing demonstrations.

If you like historical reenactments, you can witness the Battle of Fallen Timbers at the Fallen Timbers Memorial Park. You can learn more about this battle and how it led to a further expansion of the Western territories for free. Richland Carrousel Park is also a great place to go if you have children. This carrousel boasts thirty horses and twenty-two other animals (one of which is mythical!)
