Taking its name from the neighborhood in which it’s located, the Nolitan Hotel is geared toward design-minded travelers looking to be in the center of it all, as it sits just north of Little Italy’s Mulberry Street and is walking distance from Greenwich Village, SoHo, and the Lower East Side. The eye-catching exterior of this boutique hotel, designed by the Manhattan-based firm of Grzywinski + Pons, incorporates terracotta cladding, exposed concrete, and over 3000 square feet of low-iron channel glass. In the lobby, which contains a guest library curated by Phaidon Books, two large glass walls permit natural light to wash over the space’s oak floors. The 55 guest rooms—some with private balconies, others with floor-to-ceiling windows—feature sateen bed linens, rain showers, and bath amenities from the nearby Red Flower boutique. But the trump card may well be the 4000-square-foot rooftop deck, which offers panoramic views of the New York skyline.

Room to Book:

The floor-to-ceiling windows of the Cityscape Corner Rooms, located on floors seven through nine, provide sweeping views of the Midtown skyline and Williamsburg Bridge.

Insider Tip:

Borrow a complimentary bicycle or skateboard from the hotel to explore the New Museum on Bowery or visit nearby boutiques like trendy Me&Ro, a few blocks north on Elizabeth Street.
