Miami Beach Travel Guide

Ask_travel_agent

Think Miami Beach, and you might imagine bronzed, beautiful people lounging on sugar-sand beaches or dancing the night away in ultra-chic nightclubs. And while it is all that—especially in the trendy South Beach area—travel to Miami Beach can yield a few surprises, too. Accessible only by ferry prior to 1915, Miami Beach has evolved into legitimate modern mecca of the fashion and modeling industries, as well as a still-thriving center of Cuban culture, public art and live music. Opulent hotels and award-winning restaurants and clubs abound, and the party never stops (a few nightclubs are now even open 24 hours.) Whether the beach is your scene, or you’d rather hang back at a shore-side restaurant or rooftop, you’ll find Miami Beach has something to offer everyone. Explore this Miami Beach travel guide to plan your own whirlwind trip there:

When to Go to Miami Beach

Since this is the birthplace of Snowbird culture, the Miami Beach travel season peaks in the dry (months of November through April, when low humidity and gloriously sunny skies prevail. The rainy season, meanwhile, runs from May through September, when late-day thunderstorms frequently occur, and there is always a chance of hurricane-season weather cropping up in forecasts.
