Les Papilles
Near the Jardin du Luxembourg on the Rue Gay-Lussac is a classic-French bistro that also serves as a wine shop and delicatessen. Opened by Bertrand Bluy, Les Papilles (“taste buds”) offers an à la carte lunch and a prix fixe dinner, with the ever-changing menu based on what Chef Ulric Claude, better known as Tom, finds at the market that day. Pull up a chair at one of the wood bistro tables set on the stone floor alongside wall shelves laden with bottles of wine, or sit at the nearby silver bar with rows of stacked condiment jars behind it.
Insider Tip:
It’s a good idea to make advance reservations at this popular bistro, and then call the day-of to confirm.
