Le Café Grand Louvre
Paris, 75001, France
Located below I.M. Pei’s iconic glass pyramid, this flagship of the Louvre restaurant complex serves an extensive menu of both traditional and contemporary French cuisine. Designed with plush yellow chairs and bright blue accents, the minimalist dining room is packed with museumgoers during lunchtime but quieter during dinner hours (Wednesday and Friday only). Created by chef Régis Bregere, dishes include foie gras on toasted brioche with fig chutney and a classic croque monsieur (grilled sandwich with ham and Saint Marcellin cheese). The wine list is short but comprehensive.
Insider Tip:
The Louvre is open late (until 9:45 p.m.) on Wednesday and Friday, so if you visit the restaurant for dinner, you can still enjoy a tour before your meal.
